Summer DIY
Photo Centerpiece
Do you have a birthday, wedding, or any event that you are looking to create centerpieces for? This Summer DIY craft will give you the ultimate photo centerpiece you’ve been looking for. Each photo centerpiece will be unique with it’s own pictures and have a special meaning on each one of them. If you don’t want to fill up the lanterns with photos you can always add designs of shapes, colors, anything you want! Here it is, an easy, truly beautiful project that has a meaning.
Materials You Need:
- Photos
- Vellum translucent paper
- Creme Wax
- Scotch Tape
- Painters Tape
- Chalk Paint (if desired)
- Paint Brush
- Waxing brush
How To:
- Step 1. Tape around your lantern with painters tape and paint your lantern the desired color. The paint usually takes two coats.
- Step 2. Print out your images on your premium translucent vellum paper. You can either do this in color or you can print them in black and white. Make sure you measure the areas your images are going to be placed. Once all printed, cut them out.
- Step 3. Taking your wax brush, dip your brush in the wax creme (you don’t need a lot) and apply the wax to the painted area. Once the wax is dry you can buff it out to your liking with a lint cloth.
- Step 4. Once you’ve achieved your look, place the images that you printed on the vellum paper on the inside with clear scotch tape.
